There are many web hosting providers and you might become confused to choose which one. It is very important that you choose a good web host. Good doesn’t mean expensive. Good means reliable with great support.
Some people try to save money and choose to go with a free web host. They usually realize pretty quickly what a huge mistake that is. I’m all for free whenever possible, but free web hosting will end up costing much more than you save.
But, let’s face it – how do you know if a web host is good or not? They all look pretty much the same and they seem like they know what they are doing, right? Well, I recommend reading reviews so that you may compare and become more familiar with the hosting companies before making a decision.
When you choose a web host, make sure they have excellent support. If you have a problem with your web site you want help now, not in a day or two.

I really think free web hosting is a waste of time. You have to deal with ugly 3rd party banners and things like that all over your site. Kind of takes away the “your” in your site. You should consider going to a website like http://www.hostgumbo.com … they have an up to date pricing and features comparison chart for the top 2009 web hosts. The site is free to use and they also run really cool promotions and giveaways. They will pay for the first 3 months of your hosting no matter which one of their advertised hosts you decide to use!

You have to be careful with free hosting, because you get what you pay for-somewhere to ONLY park your site. I was looking for a web hosting company that would host my site at no cost and came across a company, Heritage Web Solutions. They host my at a very low cost along with features that are so helpful/useful to me.

I know you probably don’t want to hear this, but there aren’t any good free web hosting sites – i’ve wasted my time trying them all. Some are better than others but none are good. Spend $7 a month and get good reliable hosting. There is a site that does reviews and offers coupons. Check it out. http://besthostingcritic.com/hosting-coupons.html
