What Are The Most Recommended Free Web Hosting Sites?

Jan 19th, 2010 by

I’m planning to build a website but since geocities free hosting has shut down, I have to find another web host that is easy to use, navigate, has efficient web tools and has faster loading time. Could anyone share any web host sites and their advantages and disadvantages so I can compare which one is the best? Thanks.

    Hi galaxyangel_mint,
The criteria you mentioned seem to apply only to
    reliable paid hosting.
I don’t know why you insist on free hosting service
because from the business point of view, they
don’t provide reliable server to run your website,
even though you upgrade to become their paid users
    later on.
When you face an urgent matter, they can’t help
you instantly since they only provide email support.
But if you’re building a personal website just to
share with your closed friends and family and not
using it as a business platform, then that probably
    justifies your choice.
I personally would not recommend any free web hosting
service for my clients who run businesses because
they really stinks. I’ve used several of them when
I first started out, but they failed me.
Again, if you just want to build a non-profitable
website, any free hosting service will do the trick.
But if you intend to go into business, then I would
suggest you to go get a reliable paid hosting service
which is easy to use, navigate, has efficient web
tools and has faster loading time, as per your expectation.
You might want to refer to the website below which
I found pretty useful and helpful for those who
wanted to know which web hosting service works best
    for them.
    Best of luck!
    Wisely

I think this information can be useful for you. If you plan to get your website, here is one good free web hosting provider to choose – 000webhost.com
They provide hosting absolutely free. You get 1500 MB of disk space and 100 GB bandwidth. They also have cPanel control panel which is amazing and easy to use website builder. Moreover, there is no any kind of advertising on your pages.
Advantage: free and no sponsor advertisement
disadvantage: they do experience some downtime at times, but not something major. Also they have to review your website before it can be seen by public to make sure it is not a spam or something that violates their TOS. But it is not a big deal you can be building your website while it is under review.

Free hosting websites are usually sponsored by ads which makes your website look very unprofessional.
http://www.dotwebbers.com has hosting packages starting at $1.99 a month. You can even get your first month for just a penny if you use one of these promo codes on the monthly plan:
    Bronze promo: bronzepenny
    Silver promo: silverpenny
    Gold promo: goldpenny

I would recommend against free hosting. In most cases, you get what you pay for. There are very reasonable hosting plans out there. Many of these have coupon codes that offer even better pricing. You can check out reviews of the inexpensive host at http://www.thehostcritic.com. There are also several coupon code offers there that will save you some money.
